Cashmere Cat - Princess Catgirl Music Album Reviews

The Norwegian producer invents a Vocaloid-inspired feline character and retreats from the spotlit pop of his last album, returning to the introspective hush of his earlier work.
After all these years, Cashmere Cat is still shy. The musician born Magnus August Høiberg has nearly a decade of prismatic productions under his belt, which has led to appearances on the big stages at EDM festivals, collaborations with childhood heroes, and studio time with the biggest pop stars in the world. On some level, Høiberg has had to adjust to the practicalities that this success requires. He once wouldn’t even do in-person interviews, but a few years ago he finally decided to open up about his life story in a music video. One would imagine he’s no longer hiding in a bathroom, as a friend of his once described, when DJ Khaled unexpectedly turns up at the studio.

2013 Toyota Prius

The Toyota Prius is now four years into its third generation. But, it's also new for 2013, in the sense that it's now family of hybrids–last year, the Prius liftback was joined by the Prius C hatchback and the Prius V wagon, as well as the Prius Plug-In Hybrid, thus spinning a sub-brand off from the original nameplate.

2014 BMW X5

Some crossovers and SUVs have gone through seemingly radical transformations as of late, perhaps risking rugged reputations in favor of a little more on-road finesse and dynamic vigor. That's not so much the case with the all-new 2014 X5; BMW keeps the focus of the X5 remarkably close to that of its original 'Sports Activity Vehicle' mantra--except there's more technology and style, warmer cabin appointments, and a little more lean performance.

2014 BMW X5: Sportier, Technology-Packed, Still Family-Friendly

2014 BMW X5
The third-generation version of BMW's so called Sports Activity Vehicle—the BMW X5—has been unveiled. And with less weight, more performance, a more graceful look, and warmer interior appointments, along with some noteworthy active-safety features, the 2014 BMW X5 looks poised to offer more of the same, perhaps with a little more charm.

Honda Pilot

The Honda Pilot is a mid-sized crossover SUV built for families. While it looks boxy and truck-like, it still has driving dynamics more suited to a car. Plus, it offers optional all-wheel drive. When it was rolled out in 2003, the Pilot was originally marketed as a more car-like alternative to the mid-size utility vehicles that were then based on trucks. Today, its competitors--think Chevrolet...

Lexus CT 200h

The Lexus CT 200h is a compact hybrid, the only hatchback available from Lexus, and the brand's most affordable car. It's in a class of it's own, being the only compact luxury hybrid on the market today, though it competes most closely with the highest-end version of its platform-sharing cousin, the Toyota Prius, as well as the diesel-powered Audi A3. The CT arrived while the slow-selling and...

Dodge Grand Caravan

The Dodge Grand Caravan is the longest-running minivan currently offered in the U.S.–with more than three decades of models to its name. While neither short-wheelbase Caravan models nor all-wheel-drive versions are any longer part of the mix, and Chrysler's narrowed the focus of its vans, they continue as an important family vehicle both for the brand and the market. Today the Grand Caravan...

Word in the pipeline from Bloomberg is that Tesla Motors may be aiming to produce a more affordable model to raise the bar again for EVs. Resultantly, because things are going so well, Musk wants to expand the Tesla lineup.

Report: Audi cancels the R8 e-tron, the only 10 in existence will be used for testing

AutoCarUK reports that Audi is turning back on its plan to produce an all-electric version of their infamous R8 sports car, which was formally known as the R8 e-tron. The reason behind Audi’s decision mainly dealt with the cost of batteries. Audi was hoping that the price would go down, under the theory that over time, the price of such complex battery packs would have diminished.

DISH Network Debuts Social Features for Hopper DVR Users

There are times when you want to yell and possibly even throw something at the TV. Thanks to social media, you can make all sorts of comments and actually have an audience (and even save your TV from a flying remote). However, why scramble for your smartphone, PC or other second screen, when you have a big screen right in front of you?
That's the idea behind the new Social app from DISH Network. Available exclusively to Hopper users, this perk allows viewers to interact with Facebook and Twitter, on-screen in real-time.
To access the Social features on any program, just hit the blue button on your remote and click on the Social icon. According to DISH, users can link up to four Twitter and four Facebook accounts. While using the Social app, whatever you're watching is reduced to about 75 percent of its normal size, so that the screen has room for social networking comments in a separate right-hand column. At the bottom, you'll find scrolling data, which may include info abo…

HP EliteBook 8470p review: business notebook with tons of power and features

If you're the type of user who wants a lot of power and plenty of features in their laptop, the business-oriented HP EliteBook 8470p is worth a look. It's a chunky beast that actually gives you a few features from the past, such as a built-in optical drive, a VGA port, FireWire, and even a dial-up modem. And while it has a relatively small 14in screen size, it is a fairly heavy notebook because it's so well built and so richly stocked. See all High-end laptop reviews.

LG Optimus G Pro specs and review: oversized smartphone with a beautiful screen

LG hasn't always been a fan favorite: For a long time the company was best known for its budget handsets that did little to stand out from the competition. In recent years, however, LG has earned a reputation for creating solid, reliable devices. The LG Optimus G Pro continues that string of successes, blowing away its nearest competitor in size and design, the Samsung Galaxy Note II, and rivaling the recent HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 as one of the best Android phones on the market. The G Pro runs like a sports car engine in the body of a family minivan—an unassuming aesthetic mixed with luxury performance. Provided you can fit it in your hand (a big caveat), this quick, flashy giant might very well be the phone for you. See all smartphone reviews.

Lenovo IdeaTab Lynx review: an 11.6 inch Windows 8 tablet

Lenovo makes a wide range of tablets running both Windows 8 and Windows RT, as well as some cheaper Android tablets too. However, the new Lynx is a top-of-the-range Windows 8 model that focuses on stylish design and entertainment features.
The Lynx certainly makes a good first impression, with the 11.6-inch tablet measuring just 9.5mm thick and weighing 640g – about 20g lighter than the latest 9.7-inch iPad.

Chrysler 200

The Chrysler 200 replaces the previous-generation Sebring, and it competes, however sluggishly, with all-stars like the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Hyundai Sonata, Chevrolet Malibu and Ford Fusion. For more on the 200, including pricing with options, see our full review of the 2013 Chrysler 200. SwannSmart Wi-fi network camera review - iPhone, iPad compatible security from Swann

Swann offers a range of security monitoring solutions designed to protect your property, while keeping an eye on your loved ones. The SwannSmart Wi-fi network camera, or ADS-450 to give it its official name, is a compact, lightweight device, which combined with a dedicated app, offers some comfort to users. Complete with circular mounting kit requiring just two screws, the camera can be fitted in minutes without fuss, or simply be left standing on a flat surface thanks to the weighted base and, in our case, some Blu Tack. Once in place, users can swivel the camera easily to fine tune the area they want to cover. While clearly a security camera, you can at least partially hide it to avoid being spotted as soon as you walk in a room, an issue spy style cameras generally avoid. See iPhone 5 review.
