AT&T to launch LG Optimus G Pro high-end phone on May 10th


As expected, AT&T has officially announced to launch date of the upcoming LG flagship smartphone in the US. This handset is known as the LG Optimus G Pro, which is already released in South Korea and Japan (a 5-inch model). Like Korean version, the AT&T’s Optimus G Pro smartphone packs a 5.5-inch touchscreen Full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and pixel density of 400 ppi.



The second largest US mobile carrier, AT&T will start selling the LG Optimus G Pro on May 10th, while the pre-order should be start on May 3rd. Customers will be able to get this handset for cost $199.99 on a 2-year contract. So, that is same pricing to buy another high-end smartphones such as the 32GB HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4. The latest addition to LG’s Optimus smartphone family has a pocketable ergonomic design with narrow bezel, which is give more valuable to this handset.

LG Optimus G Pro from AT&T brings a 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage onboard, and a 3,140 mAh battery. It has 13MP camera on the back with LED flash, a front-facing 2.1MP camera, and Dual Recording support. Running on Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system, the Optimus G Pro is equipped with QSlide 2.0 and VuTalk apps. Other high-end features are 4G LTE connectivity, QuickRemote (universal remote control), and a MicroSD card slot that support up to 64GB.
