Lenovo P780 smartphone with MediaTek 6589 SoC


Lenovo is getting ready to launch a new Android smartphone namely the Lenovo P780. Interestingly, this phone comes with MediaTek’s Quad-core MT6589 processor clocked at 1.2GHz. This low-cost quad-core chipset is already adopted by several mobile manufacturers into their handsets. New Lenovo P780 smartphone is currently up on Lenovo’s China official website and expected go on sale in the second-half of May 2013. Kobe Bryant, the NBA star is seen “behind the scenes” video of Lenovo’s upcoming P780 ad campaign. He says “Are you prepared for a new style smartphone? Say hello to the Lenovo…”



Running on Goggle’s Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system, the P780 has a 5-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. In capacity of memory term, this phone brings 8GB of internal storage and 1GB of RAM. The manufacturer hasn’t confirmed regarding the expansion slot but it’s probably support microSD card (32GB or 64GB).

Lenovo P780 smartphone packs an 8MP CMOS camera on the back, and a large-capacity 4000 mAh battery. It works with WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, and W-CDMA/GSM networks. This phone is also dual-SIM support and with dual-standby.
