The new Windows Phone 8 handset has been officially announced by Nokia and Verizon Wireless. It is dubbed the Nokia Lumia 928, which comes with an 8.7MP PureView camera on back with OIS (optical image stabilization) and Carl Zeiss lens. That’s same as the Nokia Lumia 920, which has offered by AT&T for the US customers. But the Lumia 928 uses Xenon flash that couldn’t be found at the AT&T’s Lumia 920 (a dual-LED flash).

Before Lumia 928 smartphone, Verizon has been offers affordable Nokia-made WP8 device, the Lumia 822. The carrier should selling the Nokia Lumia 928 WP8 smartphone starting May 16th and price tag $99.99 on a 2-year contract and after a $50 mail in rebate.

Based on its specs, Verizon’s Nokia Lumia 928 has a 4.5-inch touchscreen OLED ClearBlack display with a resolution of 1280 x 768 pixels and Gorilla Glass. Delivers usual storage capacity space, this phone packs 1GB of RAM, 32GB of onboard memory, and extra 7GB SkyDrive free storage space. Nokia says the Lumia 928 brings high-performance microphones, which enabling record sound naturally with distortion-free, up to 140db.

Nokia Lumia 928 features NFC, a 2,000 mAh battery, 4G LTE, and wireless charging capabilities. Thanks to polycarbonate case, this phone is claimed a little thinner and lighter than its predecessor. Besides global roaming capabilities, the Lumia 928 is pre-loaded with Nokia Here (Maps, Drive+, and City Lens) as well as Nokia Music.
