But, it's also new for 2013, in the sense that it's now family of hybrids–last year, the Prius liftback was joined by the Prius C hatchback and the Prius V wagon, as well as the Prius Plug-In Hybrid, thus spinning a sub-brand off from the original nameplate.

2014 BMW X5

Some crossovers and SUVs have gone through seemingly radical transformations as of late, perhaps risking rugged reputations in favor of a little more on-road finesse and dynamic vigor. That's not so much the case with the all-new 2014 X5; BMW keeps the focus of the X5 remarkably close to that of its original 'Sports Activity Vehicle' mantra--except there's more technology and style, warmer cabin appointments, and a little more lean performance.

2014 BMW X5: Sportier, Technology-Packed, Still Family-Friendly

Honda Pilot

The Honda Pilot is a mid-sized crossover SUV built for families. While it looks boxy and truck-like, it still has driving dynamics more suited to a car. Plus, it offers optional all-wheel drive. When it was rolled out in 2003, the Pilot was originally marketed as a more car-like alternative to the mid-size utility vehicles that were then based on trucks. Today, its competitors--think Chevrolet...

Lexus CT 200h

The CT arrived while the slow-selling and...

The Dodge Grand Caravan is the longest-running minivan currently offered in the U.S.–with more than three decades of models to its name. DISH Network Debuts Social Features for Hopper DVR Users

There are times when you want to yell and possibly even throw something at the TV. Thanks to social media, you can make all sorts of comments and actually have an audience (and even save your TV from a flying remote). However, why scramble for your smartphone, PC or other second screen, when you have a big screen right in front of you?

That's the idea behind the new Social app from DISH Network. Available exclusively to Hopper users, this perk allows viewers to interact with Facebook and Twitter, on-screen in real-time.

To access the Social features on any program, just hit the blue button on your remote and click on the Social icon. According to DISH, users can link up to four Twitter and four Facebook accounts. While using the Social app, whatever you're watching is reduced to about 75 percent of its normal size, so that the screen has room for social networking comments in a separate right-hand column. At the bottom, you'll find scrolling data, which may include info about the current show, stats about the top areas that are Tweeting, and more.

With Social, you can post to Twitter and Facebook from the Hopper or just kick back and watch the conversation on-screen.

HP EliteBook 8470p review: business notebook with tons of power and features

If you're the type of user who wants a lot of power and plenty of features in their laptop, the business-oriented HP EliteBook 8470p is worth a look. It's a chunky beast that actually gives you a few features from the past, such as a built-in optical drive, a VGA port, FireWire, and even a dial-up modem. And while it has a relatively small 14in screen size, it is a fairly heavy notebook because it's so well built and so richly stocked. See all High-end laptop reviews.

LG Optimus G Pro specs and review: oversized smartphone with a beautiful screen

LG hasn't always been a fan favorite: For a long time the company was best known for its budget handsets that did little to stand out from the competition. In recent years, however, LG has earned a reputation for creating solid, reliable devices. The LG Optimus G Pro continues that string of successes, blowing away its nearest competitor in size and design, the Samsung Galaxy Note II, and rivaling the recent HTC One and Samsung Galaxy S4 as one of the best Android phones on the market. The G Pro runs like a sports car engine in the body of a family minivan—an unassuming aesthetic mixed with luxury performance. Provided you can fit it in your hand (a big caveat), this quick, flashy giant might very well be the phone for you. See all smartphone reviews.

The Lynx certainly makes a good first impression, with the 11.6-inch tablet measuring just 9.5mm thick and weighing 640g – about 20g lighter than the latest 9.7-inch iPad.

SwannSmart Wi-fi network camera review - iPhone, iPad compatible security from Swann

Swann offers a range of security monitoring solutions designed to protect your property, while keeping an eye on your loved ones. The SwannSmart Wi-fi network camera, or ADS-450 to give it its official name, is a compact, lightweight device, which combined with a dedicated app, offers some comfort to users. Complete with circular mounting kit requiring just two screws, the camera can be fitted in minutes without fuss, or simply be left standing on a flat surface thanks to the weighted base and, in our case, some Blu Tack. Once in place, users can swivel the camera easily to fine tune the area they want to cover. While clearly a security camera, you can at least partially hide it to avoid being spotted as soon as you walk in a room, an issue spy style cameras generally avoid. See iPhone 5 review.
