Dell XPS 13 (9370) vs Dell XPS 13 (9380)

Can Dell make its XPS 13 laptop any better? Well it's tried with a new 2019 model so we compare the two and explain what has and hasn't changed.
Should I Buy The Dell XPS 13 9370 (2018) Or Dell XPS 13 (2019)?
There’s a new XPS 13 in town but you’ll struggle to justify the upgrade from 2018’s model with namely a new webcam as a headline upgrade.
Sure, there are other upgrades to the the core specs but for most people, these will be fairly insignificant. The inclusion of a cheaper Core i3 model is particularly interesting.

Samsung Galaxy X Release Date & Feature Rumours

The Note 9 is now official, with some new features that will likely also be seen in the foldable Galaxy X when it arrives in early 2019. Here's everything we know about Samsung's smartphone-cum-tablet, which could cost an incredible $1850.

Samsung is working on a phone with a foldable screen, known as the Galaxy X. It is said that the phone will be announced at CES in January 2019, and will be on show at MWC at the end of February.

The Galaxy X was reportedly shown to insiders back at January 2018's CES show, and has already passed certification and popped up on Samsung's support site.

New features in the just-announced Note 9, which goes on sale 24 August at £899, may well be mirrored in the Galaxy X. This device comes with 128GB of storage as standard but also has a 512GB option, with support for microSD up to 512GB. There's also up to 8GB of RAM and a redesigned S Pen that supports Bluetooth.

The camera, still a 12Mp dual-lens model, now builds in a Scene Optimiser that uses AI to identify what you're shooting and automatically apply a preset for stunning results, while new Flaw Detection points out when there's a problem with your shot and prompts you to take another.

When is the Samsung Galaxy X release date?
Samsung told investors in January 2018 that the foldable Galaxy X would launch in 2018. However, reports from Korea now suggest it will be shown off at MWC in February 2019.

Samsung said: “In 2018, we will differentiate through the development of cutting-edge products, such as foldable OLED smartphones.”

But the bad news is that Samsung’s quirky folding phone might be tough to bag, with Forbes stating that “the expectation for the Galaxy X is as a limited-run device in a single territory - more than likely the home territory of South Korea”. It adds that it will be one of the rarest phones in 2018.

What is the Galaxy X price?
If rumours on the Galaxy X pricing are true, we have no trouble believing it will be a rare handset. Samsung's foldable phone is expected to cost as much as $1850.

That's around £1400, but it's unlikely we'll pay that in the UK. Usually pound and dollar prices are more or less the same, so we could be looking at a smartphone that's just a couple hundred pounds cheaper than buying two iPhone Xs.

Is the foldable Samsung phone called the Galaxy X?
As you can tell from this article, it's widely thought that the upcoming foldable phone from Samsung will be the Galaxy X.

However, Twitter user @MMDDJ_ who has a good track record with phone leaks, suggests that it will actually be named the Galaxy F instead. 'F' for foldable?

They also tweeted about Galaxy R and Galaxy P phones that will reportedly be produced outside of Samsung's factory.
What are the rumoured specifications for the Galaxy X?
The Samsung Galaxy X was originally rumoured to be a 5in phone that could fold out into an 8in tablet, but it’s now suspected to fold out into a 7in tablet. It’s indeed possible that there will actually be two Samsung foldable phones released.

According to rumours the screen resolution is expected to be 4K (3840x2160 pixels), ensuring that it remains high-res when folded.

A press release from Samsung touting an unbreakable panel could be used for the Galaxy X. Samsung Display has developed the "flexible OLED panel with an unbreakable substrate and an overlay window securely adhered to it".

The firm said that it will be used on smartphones along with "display consoles for automobiles, mobile military devices, portable game consoles and tablet PCs for e-learning".

The Galaxy X could also feature a dual-camera at the rear, one of the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon processors - most likely now the Snapdragon 845 or Exynos 9810- and at least 6GB of RAM. There should be a microSD card slot, but the battery will not be removable.

A patent application filed by Samsung in late 2016 shows some renders of what the eventual Galaxy X may look like (via Sammobile):

What is a foldable phone?
A foldable phone is exactly as it sounds, one that either folds inward (like a clamshell phone) or outward and reveals a tablet-like device when stretched out. This is possible with the use of a bendable (rather than flexible, as seen in the Galaxy S7 edge) OLED panel.

Samsung, Lenovo and LG have each showed off bendable displays and devices at various industry events, and have registered many patents for the technology. Previously called Project Valley, Samsung’s technology has become known as the Samsung Galaxy X, which may or may not be its eventual name upon release.

Samsung originally worked on fold-in phones, which close up like a wallet, but having completed its work there it has moved on to fold-out phones. These should be more convenient for the user, who wouldn’t need to unfold the phone every time they wanted to use it.

Nokia 9 Release Date, Price & Spec Rumours

We've waited two years for the Nokia 9, and at the end of this month the company could finally put us out of our misery. Here's what we know about the Nokia 9 PureView, which could feature a penta-lens rear camera.
Nokia made its comeback to the Android market in January 2017 with the Nokia 6, and we've been waiting two years now for its long-rumoured flagship Nokia 9 to arrive. Oppo RX17 Pro Review

Though similar to the OnePlus 6T the Oppo RX17 Pro is very different thanks to the software. Here’s our full review
Should I Buy The Oppo RX17 Pro?
The RX17 Pro is a great looking phone with good performance and a lush display. But with a Snapdragon 710 rather than the better 845 it’s just impossible not to compare it to the OnePlus 6T which looks the same, has better software for the western market and, importantly, costs less.
If you like the look of Oppo’s interface though then there’s a lot to like. The two colour options are premium as is the build quality and the cameras are above average if not great.

You probably know Synology for making NAS drives but the firm has also turned its hand to mesh networks. Here we review the MR2200ac.
Should I Buy The Synology Mesh Router MR2200ac?
Synology could do a little more to explain the many features of the MR2200ac for first-time users, but the strong performance of this mesh system, and the fine-control provided by its web browser interface make it a good option for business users or home users who have a little more experience of networking technology.
