Hayden Thorpe - Diviner Music Album Reviews

The former Wild Beasts singer embarks on a new direction on his soul-searching solo debut, stripping back his songwriting to a reverent hush.
The British singer-songwriter Hayden Thorpe released “Diviner” in late February 2019, just a year after the final performance of his band Wild Beasts. From its stark opening chords and breathy first line—“I’m a keeper of secrets, pray do tell”—the song sounded markedly personal. With little more than his stately countertenor and humble piano, Thorpe harnessed the energy of quiet solitude and proceeded to pitch that emotion skyward until the music felt bathed in a dim light. After more than a decade with Wild Beasts, “Diviner” pointed to a different direction for Thorpe.

Air Fryer Crescent Dogs

Air Fryer Crescent Dogs are a fun little snack or quick meal that are a detour from your normal Hot Dogs with buns. They cook up in just minutes in the Air Fryer. So good!

Sunday nights are usually a night where we make something “fun” – not a big meal but more of a light snack night. We made Crescent Dogs in the Air Fryer the other week and they were a big hit!

Key to Success #1 – Crescent Rolls or Crescent Sheets
Have you seen the crescent sheets in your grocery store? It’s basically a tube of refrigerated crescent roll dough but it’s not cut into the typical triangles. It’s just all in one big sheet.

For this Crescent Dogs recipe, you can either use the crescent rolls or the crescent sheets. I had the crescent sheets so that’s what I used. If you’re using the crescent sheets, cut the sheet into 8 equal pieces.

Wrap each portion of dough around one hot dog. It’s okay if the hot dog is not completely covered with the dough. I like to leave the ends of my hot dogs out.

Key to Success #2 – Line the Air Fryer basket with Foil
The crescent dough has a tendency to get baked into the holes in the air fryer basket. To prevent this, you can line the bottom of your air fryer basket with a square of aluminum foil. Be sure to spray the foil with olive oil to keep the dough from sticking.

One word of caution – the Air Fryer has a powerful fan inside it that will blow the foil out of place if there is nothing on top of it. For this reason, I recommend preheating the Air Fryer without the foil and only adding it when you’re ready to cook the Crescent Dogs.

Key to Success #3 – Do the Dip Dip Dip
One of the best things about Air Fryer Crescent Dogs is dipping them in your favorite sauces and condiments. If you’re making these for a group of hungry kids, you could line up ketchup, mustard, cheese sauce, honey, salsa, or any number of other dips for these Crescent Dogs.

What’s your favorite dipping sauce?

Wow, the Air Fryer is such a versatile tool! Check out all these recipes you can make in the Air Fryer:

Huawei MateBook 14 Review

The MateBook 14 is one of Huawei's new laptops for 2019 and is the perfect all-rounder. Find out why in our full review.
Should I Buy The Huawei MateBook 14?
The MateBook 14 might be a slightly chunkier and heavier version of the flagship X Pro, but the weight is a small price to pay considering that this laptop is a much cheaper option.
What you lose (or gain, really) in weight, is made up for by additional ports, better performance and longer battery life. You only really need to pass on this if Thunderbolt is an absolute must.
