His Name Is Alive - All the Mirrors In the House (Home Recordings 1979 - 1986) Music Album Reviews

Fueled by the curiosity of the untutored mind, Warren Defever’s collection of childhood recordings is wispy, mercurial, and improbably good.
In the 29 years that he has helmed the idiosyncratic project His Name Is Alive, Warren Defever has made many different kinds of music, few of them obvious kin to one another: lo-fi bedroom pop, ramshackle ambient, straight-up R&B, spiritual jazz, stoner metal, even a psychedelic rock opera. Recently, Defever came across a box of cassettes—many without covers or cases, the labels scrawled in ballpoint or Sharpie—that lay at the root of all of it: his own adolescent (and preteen) home recordings, from the years predating HNIA. Some went as far back as 1979, when the Livonia, Michigan, native was just 10 years old. He paid fellow Michigander Shelley Salant, of Saturday Looks Good to Me and Tyvek, to make digital transfers of their contents, and he asked her to flag anything that sounded “new agey, ambient, or had echoey guitars.” All the Mirrors …

Cyberpunk 2077 Release Date, Gameplay, Platforms, Trailers And More

Here’s all we know about Cyberpunk 2077, including the release date, gameplay, platform support and more

Even before the huge success of The Witcher 3 back in 2015, developers’ CD Projekt Red was hard at work on brand-new IP Cyberpunk 2077, an open-world RPG set in a sci-fi inspired future. The game was initially announced back in 2013 and nobody heard anything about it until January 2018, when the game’s official Twitter account tweeted a single word.

Gamescom 2018 saw the reveal of brand new screenshots, but the biggest news came days later; the reveal of a 48-minute gameplay walkthrough, which you can watch in all its' glory at the top of this page.

This was followed up by a huge presence at E3 2019, where CD Projekt Red showcased not only a new cinematic trailer but got Keanu Reeves - star of John Wick and The Matrix - to come on-stage and reveal the game's release date. Here's everything you need to know.

When Will Cyberpunk 2077 Be Released?
Of course, the biggest question is “when will Cyberpunk 2077 be released?” and after literally years of waiting, Keanu Reeves took to the stage at E3 2019 to confirm the release date: 16 April 2020.

Which Platforms Will Cyberpunk 2077 Be Available For?
In terms of platforms, Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on PS4, Xbox One and PC as well as offering support for 4K gameplay via the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro.

While some may be holding out hope that the upcoming title will somehow make it to the Nintendo Switch, we don’t feel as confident; CDPR develops incredibly detailed, complex and gorgeous games, and going by the quality of 2015’s The Witcher 3, we can’t imagine that the Switch will be able to power it.
What should I Expect From Cyberpunk 2077 Gameplay?
Gameplay is one area of Cyberpunk 2077 that has got the entire internet guessing – and that’s because until relatively recently, there wasn't much in the way of information online, only gossip and rumours.

For those completely unaware, Cyberpunk 2077 is a new IP from the developers of the Witcher series. Cyberpunk 2077 is set in an open world known as Night City; a bright, neon sci-fi-inspired metropolis whose residents communicate with one another in a variety of foreign languages. While details are scarce, we imagine that we’ll be learning the ways of the city while trying to grasp the languages utilised by its residents to discover strange, dangerous conspiracies.

The developers have taken to Twitter to calm fans nerves about what to expect from the game. “Worry not” the devs tweeted. “We leave greed to others.”
It’s not the only time that CD Projekt Red has lifted the veil on its upcoming project, either. According to the developers, Cyberpunk 2077 will be considerably ‘wider’ than The Witcher 3, offering a range of environments to explore, treasures to find, unique quests and NPCs, and it sounds like there will be a lot of violence too.

It’s said that the player will be able to obtain and level up a series of skills, abilities and enhancements to improve gameplay and add new mechanics. This can include, for example, the ability to communicate with the NPC residents of Night City using Braindance, a handy digital recording device.

Speaking at Pareto Securities’ Gaming Seminar, CD Projekt RED CEO Adam Kicinski claimed that Cyberpunk 2077 “is our new Witcher 3, but even more ambitious.”

“We work [in a] new universe, futuristic universe. We believe it’s very appealing to players, not only RPG players—but this is [a] true RPG, like Witcher, like Witcher 3, for mature audiences. It’s handcrafted, detailed, of course open-world, with open-ended gameplay,” he said.

Latest Cyberpunk 2077 Trailer
The latest trailer - while not a gameplay trailer - follows on from the events of the 48-minute gameplay clip showcased in 2018, and has a guest appearance from a certain high-profile celebrity. See if you can spot them in the clip below.

Nokia 4.2 Review

At £150, Nokia's budget handset has to be compared to the very best cheap phones. How does it stack up?
Should I Buy The Nokia 4.2?
The 4.2 has shown that Nokia can still produce good hardware, and combined with the slick user interface on Android One it provides an enjoyable user experience. This fully featured modern handset produces consistently solid performance, with above average cameras and impressive battery life.
However, it is let down by a low resolution screen, poor implementation of biometrics and some stubborn design choices.

Should I buy the 15in MacBook Pro (2019)?
You’ll need to weigh up how much you need an incredibly powerful Mac laptop with concerns about the keyboard, but the new 9th generation 8-core processors should sweeten the deal.

Xbox Two release date rumours, design and more

Xbox Two release date rumours, design and more Microsoft’s Xbox One didn’t have the greatest launch – it was overpriced thanks to the ‘requirement’ of the Kinect (which has since been completely discontinued) and the requirement of an internet connection to function pushed many to Sony’s PS4. The console has improved substantially since launch, both in terms of features and pricing, and the introduction of the high-end Xbox One X has grabbed the interest of many.
